Amazing! Alex and Henry are absolute goals for a relationship, and it was nice to escape into an alternate reality future out of the ---------- we're currently in :)

Educated By Tara Westover

I’ve heard Educated described as a “female version of HillBilly Elegy”— which doesn’t feel far off. Westover’x memoir is about growing up in rural Idaho, one of 7 children in a Fundamentalist Mormon household. What’s surprising to me is the title— while the memoir does cover Westover’s unusual homeschooling and path to a PhD. the story is more about family and the bonds that tie us together.

Maniac Magee
by Jerry Spinelli

I recommend this book because it is a very good book about this kid who has been running his who life after his parents died on a train and he had to live with his boring and mean aunt and uncle. He ran away to a town where it is divided by white and "colored" people. He doesn’t see the problem when he goes to the east side ( where the "colored" people live) and everyone is staring at him. This book is full of amazing adventures of Jeffrey Lionel Magee and it is a very good book.

Silver Days is historical depiction of how the Platt’s family escaped the invasion of the Nazi’s during WWII. They moved to America to begin again and strive for a better life. This dream is not an easy one with extreme poverty, living in a small New York City apartment and they barely have enough money for food. The story follows the life of the lead character Lisa Pratt a middle child teenager who wants the American life she has watched in movies. She has 2 sisters 1 older and 1 younger. Unfortunately, because they are Jewish they are not well liked in their neighborhood. They also face a lot of challenges. Her father’s works very hard and starts a coat making business. His success later allows them the opportunity to move to California where Lisa takes dancing lesson, specifically ballet. She loves to dance!
